Oak Chevron in Georgian home
Striking oak Chevron blocks were selected for this modern classic hallway in Ellesmere.
The original Pine floorboards were very uneven. We prepared the subfloor by installing moisture proof builder paper followed by 9mm plywood. The hallway was then levelled using a fibre reinforced levelling compound.
Over sized unfinished oak chevron blocks from Brooks brothers were bonded down to the plywood.
We used a small secondary skirting to enhance the oak chevron blocks; this can be a lovely finish where you are unable to remove skirting boards.
The floor was sanded & finished with Ted Todd Vanguard lacquer to keep the elegant cool tones of unfinished oak.
We think that you will agree that this oak Chevron hallway looks beautiful.
