Bespoke advice from our Specialists
Design Consultation
Every project begins with a conversation. Over an unhurried appointment in our Chester showroom, we get to know your home, how you live in it and the look you want to create. Bring along paint swatches, fabric samples or a cabinet door, and we’ll show you how each floor sits alongside them, narrowing a wide choice down to the few that feel right.
Once you have a direction in mind, we’ll give you an initial estimate so you have a clear sense of the investment before going further.
If you have your own fitter, we’re equally happy to supply your flooring alone. If you’re planning to lay it yourself, we’ll share as much advice as we can. Philip, our store manager, spent years as a fitter himself, so you’ll be in experienced hands.

Home Visit
A floor has to suit the room it lives in, not just the showroom. The next step is a technical inspection at your home with me, Elaine, or our Installations Manager, Philip. You’ll be talking to someone who knows both the design and the practicalities of your project.
We’ll measure precisely and work through the detail that makes a finished floor look effortless: the type and condition of your subfloor and the preparation it needs, any plans for new skirting boards, and finishing touches such as door thresholds and transitions between rooms. It’s also a chance to see your chosen samples in your own light, beside your furniture and finishes.
If the condition of your subfloor calls for a closer look, we’ll arrange a further technical site survey. That way your quotation reflects exactly what your floor needs, rather than an estimate that changes later.
Afterwards you’ll receive a detailed quotation, and we’ll call you a few days later to talk it through and answer any questions. With every decision settled in advance, your installation runs smoothly and promptly, without surprises on the day.
