Chester Apartment
This elegant apartment threw up some interesting problems for us to solve. The sub-floor was a block and beam construction and was not suitable for the Herringbone floor that the client had set her heart on. In order to fulfil the customer’s wishes, we ripped out the entire sub-floor and fitted battens with new insulation and 18mm Ply was fully fixed. As the floor ran throughout the whole apartment, including bathrooms, we had to work to very tight deadlines to get all of the preparation done.
Stunning Ted Todd Darwin Morado blocks were fitted throughout in a Herringbone pattern. Oversize Herringbone blocks give a real mix of traditional and modern and the rich colour tones work well with the contemporary décor.
