Hello Herringbone

Goodbye plank floors . . . not quite but the love story with Herringbone floors continues!

We have seen a huge increase in requests for pattern floors but mostly the classic Herringbone pattern.

Although Herringbone is having a moment in the sun, this pattern dates back to ancient Greece and Roman times , with the Romans using Herringbone pattern in their roads to provide a durable road surface.

Did you know that the name ‘Herringbone’ references the skeleton of a fish? have a look below and see how the classic pattern mimics the skeleton of a Herring fish!
